NUH attachment
Well, it's the first day of my pharmacy attachment in NUH. Virtually speaking, thanks god for the luck! thanks god for the chance! I am approved for the eye opening exposure. I appreciate lots, greatly.
Woke up early in the morning at 6.10am. Departed to the hospital after finished tidying up myself. Yeah, nervourness rose up unconsciously. A glass of milo was enough for my stomach!
With excitement, i reached Kent Ridge station. Reported to Mrs Berene Ong and here started our challenge!
Thanks Mrs Berene for her gentle sound and sensible advices.
Then, we were brought to the inpatient department.
For the information, we were scheduled to spend 3 days in Inpatient department and 2 days in outpatient department.
Firstly, we were given a short briefing by the chief technician. She showed us how the centralised pharmaceutical system works in Singapore. Yeah, we did have a glance at all the high tech automation. Yeah, We wowed at the autmation!
Next, it was followed by an informative introduction on the procedures from which the patients being admitted to the hospital to which he or she is charged by an experienced pharmacist, Emily Poh.
Besides, we were given the chances for the q & a sessions. I would rather said it was just like the chit chatting sessions with her. Thanks for her honest sharing! Thanks for all the precious advices given.
We leaved at 5pm. Hmm, yeah, first day, first try, first visit made us tired indeed, yet everything was just worth than it shall be.
I am looking forward for my challenges for the next 4 days!
